2020 Presentation Event

Bill 7 Award held another successful, albeit different, scholarship presentation event on November 2, 2020. Over 200 people attended an exciting virtual event for our 20 very deserving scholarship recipients. 

We heard many inspiring stories as they showed their appreciation for the support they received from us in pursuing their studies. Thanks to our generous donors, Bill 7 Award was able to present a second continuing scholarship to a student who will be entitled to receive their scholarship each year for up to 4 years as they complete their degree.  Even better, we announced that we are increasing the amount of each scholarship presented to $3,500! 
 
We also had a record-breaking silent auction, and pledges to win the raffle for an Apple Watch, that raised a total of over $7,000! Thank you to everyone who participated in the silent auction and pledged to win the Apple Watch and thanks to all of our wonderful donors and supporters.
 
We would also like to take the opportunity to thank our event sponsors – IBM Canada, Manulife and EY. It is through their generous support that we’re able to hold this special event and recognize our scholarship recipients.
 
The online application for the 2021 scholarships will open in April 2021…stay tuned for more information. We expect to award at least 18 scholarships of $3,500 each this year!
