2022 Presentation Event

Bill 7 Award held another lively scholarship presentation event on November 7, 2022. We were delighted to have over 125supporters, students and guests attend an in-person celebration of our 23 very deserving scholarship recipients.

We heard many inspiring stories of what it means to be a queer and trans student in today’s post-secondary education environment. With their touching speeches, students showed their appreciation for the support they received in pursuing their studies. Thanks to our generous donors, Bill 7 Award was able to present a fourth continuing scholarship to Arjun Kalra – continuing scholarship students are entitled to receive their scholarship each year for up to 4 years as they complete their degree. 

We would like to take the opportunity to thank our event sponsors - IBM Canada, EY, McMillan LLP and IGM Financial. It is through their generous support that we're able to hold this special in person event and recognize our scholarship recipients. We also want to thank our supporters – over 40 individual and corporate donors, including corporate donors Left Field Brewery and RBC foundations – whose donations make the scholarships possible.
